This week we chat with top Longhorn breeder, Peter Close, as well as prominent auctioneer and Longhorn enthusiast, Clive Roads from McCartneys. With a breed that has been around for hundreds of years, it is not surprising it has had a roller-coaster ride, and we hear of its ups and downs, since Bakewell’s time in the early 1800s, to the modern suckler cow breeder of today.
